    Clinton greets India on Eid-ul-Fitr

    U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has greeted India on the occasion of the Muslim festival of Eid-ul-Fitr.

    In a message to Minister of External Affairs S.M. Krishna, Clinton said: "I extend warmest wishes to you and the people of India as you observe the joyous celebration of Eid al-Fitr."

    "May this holy season of spiritual renewal for Muslims everywhere inspire us to continue seeking peace, compassion, and mutual respect among people throughout the world," she added. (ANI)
