London to host Emirati musical play
    Iran Herald

    (IANS)

A musical play - 'Zayed and the Dream' - with performances by over 100 artistes from China, Spain, Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will be performed in London this August.

The theatrical extravaganza produced by the Caracalla Dance Theatre and the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) is a story of seven horsemen who travel on a journey in search of the one who will forever carve his name as a hero of civilisation.

The two shows in London are scheduled for Aug 1 and 3. The show, which was first staged in Abu Dhabi in December 2008, has also been played in Beirut and Paris.

'Two essential values have been achieved through the performance of this play - artistic value and historical value. The piece carries traditional values that were inserted artistically into the play for the benefit of society, which in turn will reform itself through upholding these values and appreciating this art,' an ADACH official said.
