Boeing 777 software gets fault report

The Federal Aviation Administration in the US has ordered Boeing to fix software in hundreds of 777 aircraft.
The FAA said on Tuesday that software that could cause planes to overrun the runway needed to be fixed in about 820 planes.
During aborted takeoffs in January this year, the software malfunctioned, causing the autopilot to come on, lowering the speed of the plane.
Had takeoff been maintained at that speed, the plane would not have been able to adequately clear obstacles on the ground.
