Sydney Airport has been slammed for raising prices by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

Despite the airport ranking as the worst in the country, it still managed to increase profits in the past financial year, even with a substantial passenger drop-off.

The ACCC has said the airport is simply not up to the national standard in terms of service and quality of facilities.

Sydney has come last in performance for the fourth year in a row, trailing Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne.
